AROMATERAPI CHAMOMILE DAN YLANG-YLANG TERHADAP TINGKAT KECEMASAN IBU HAMIL TRIMESTER III: STUDI QUASI-EKSPERIMENTAL TWO-GROUP PRETEST–POSTTEST

Kecemasan pada ibu hamil trimester III merupakan kondisi yang sering terjadi menjelang persalinan dan berisiko meningkatkan persalinan prematur serta berat badan lahir rendah. Intervensi nonfarmakologis seperti aromaterapi berpotensi menurunkan kecemasan. Chamomile mengandung apigenin dan bisabolol yang bersifat ansiolitik, sedangkan ylang-ylang mengandung linalool dan benzyl acetate yang memberikan efek sedatif dan relaksasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan efektivitas aromaterapi chamomile dan ylang-ylang terhadap tingkat kecemasan ibu hamil trimester III di PMB Ida Zayyidah, Kabupaten Garut, Indonesia, pada tahun 2024/2025.
Penelitian menggunakan desain quasi-eksperimental two-group pretest–posttest. Sampel berjumlah 30 ibu hamil trimester III yang direkrut secara purposive dan dibagi menjadi dua kelompok: chamomile (n=15) dan ylang-ylang (n=15). Intervensi diberikan melalui inhalasi selama 15 menit. Tingkat kecemasan diukur menggunakan Perinatal Anxiety Screening Scale (PASS). Analisis data menggunakan uji paired t-test dan independent t-test dengan taraf signifikansi p<0,05.
Hasil menunjukkan rata-rata skor PASS kelompok chamomile menurun dari 49,6 menjadi 29,2, sedangkan kelompok ylang-ylang menurun dari 48,6 menjadi 26,8, skor kecemasan akhir kelompok chamomile lebih rendah dibandingkan ylang-ylang. Terdapat perbedaan rata-rata sebelum dan sesudah intervensi aromaterapi chamomile maupun aromaterapi ylang-ylang (p=0,000). Analisis antar kelompok aromaterapi chamomile dan ylang-ylang berdasarkan nilai posttest menunjukkan perbedaan bermakna (p=0,047).
Aromaterapi chamomile dan ylang-ylang sama-sama efektif menurunkan kecemasan ibu hamil trimester III, namun chamomile menunjukkan efektivitas yang lebih baik berdasarkan nilai posttest, sehingga dapat direkomendasikan sebagai intervensi nonfarmakologis komplementer menjelang persalinan.
