Uji Penangkap Radikal DPPH Ekstrak Buah Elaeis Guineensis Jacq dari Tanah Laut Dengan Metode MAE

Peningkatan radikal bebas dalam tubuh dapat menyebabkan berbagai penyakit degeneratif, seperti diabetes dan kanker. Meskipun tubuh memiliki mekanisme antioksidan alami, kapasitasnya sering kali tidak cukup untuk mengatasi radikal bebas. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan sumber antioksidan eksternal, salah satunya adalah buah sawit yang kaya senyawa bioaktif seperti polifenol dan tokoferol. Metode penelitian ini mengeksplorasi potensi buah sawit sebagai sumber antioksidan dengan menggunakan metode Microwave-Assisted Extraction (MAE). Hasil ekstraksi menunjukkan rendemen 18,5% dan aktivitas antioksidan tinggi, dengan nilai IC50 45,2 µg/mL. Uji DPPH menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak buah sawit mampu menetralkan radikal bebas dengan baik. Penelitian ini membuka peluang untuk penggunaan ekstrak buah sawit dalam pengobatan penyakit degeneratif dan produk berbasis bahan alam.
