JUBIDA – Jurnal Kebidanan accepts the following types of manuscripts that contribute to the advancement of knowledge, research, and professional practice in midwifery and related health sciences.
Original Research Articles present the results of original empirical research using quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-methods approaches. These manuscripts should provide a clear research question, appropriate study design, systematic data collection, relevant data analysis, and meaningful interpretation of the findings.
Topics may include maternal and neonatal health, pregnancy care, childbirth, postpartum care, reproductive health, family planning, adolescent health, breastfeeding, maternal nutrition, midwifery education, community health, and evidence-based midwifery practice.
Manuscripts must demonstrate scientific rigor, ethical compliance where applicable, and a clear contribution to the development of midwifery knowledge and healthcare practice.
Applied Research and Case Study Articles focus on the application of scientific evidence, clinical approaches, healthcare interventions, or innovative practices in midwifery and related healthcare settings.
These manuscripts may examine maternal and neonatal care, midwifery service delivery, health promotion, community-based interventions, family planning services, clinical case management, and innovations in maternal and child healthcare.
Case studies must provide sufficient clinical or contextual information, a clear description of the assessment and management process, and a discussion of the implications for professional practice. Appropriate patient consent, confidentiality protection, and ethical requirements must be fulfilled where applicable.
Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis Articles provide a comprehensive and methodologically transparent synthesis of existing evidence on relevant topics in midwifery and health sciences.
These manuscripts should present a clearly defined research question, a reproducible literature search strategy, explicit inclusion and exclusion criteria, a systematic study-selection process, an appropriate assessment of study quality or risk of bias, and a structured synthesis of the findings.
Meta-analysis manuscripts must use appropriate statistical methods to combine results from comparable studies and report the findings transparently. Systematic reviews should follow relevant reporting guidelines, such as PRISMA, where applicable.
Topics may include interventions for maternal and neonatal health, pregnancy outcomes, childbirth practices, postpartum recovery, reproductive health, breastfeeding, and evidence-based midwifery interventions.
Literature Review Articles critically examine and synthesize relevant scholarly publications on a specific topic within midwifery and related health sciences.
These manuscripts should provide a clear scope, a logical organization of the literature, critical evaluation of existing evidence, identification of knowledge gaps, and recommendations for future research or professional practice.
Authors must explain their literature selection and synthesis approach sufficiently to support transparency and scholarly value. A literature review should provide critical analysis rather than merely summarize previously published studies.
Brief Reports present concise but meaningful findings from preliminary research, focused investigations, pilot studies, or limited-scope empirical studies relevant to midwifery and healthcare practice.
These manuscripts should include a clear objective, an appropriate description of the methods, the principal findings, and a concise discussion of their implications. Despite their shorter format, brief reports must meet the journal's standards for research quality, originality, and publication ethics.
All manuscripts submitted to JUBIDA – Jurnal Kebidanan must align with the journal's focus and scope, present original scholarly contributions, follow the applicable author guidelines, and comply with research ethics and publication ethics standards.
Research involving human participants, patients, health records, or identifiable personal information must meet applicable ethical approval, informed consent, and confidentiality requirements. Authors must disclose relevant conflicts of interest and funding information where applicable.
The editorial team reserves the right to assess the suitability of each submission and determine whether the manuscript type is appropriate for the journal. Submission of a manuscript does not guarantee acceptance or publication.
